Actually, quite a few dealers have this at the same reduced price.

On paper, it look V interesting.    CD, good ESS DAC, AND digital in from Optical, Coax and or USB, with USB based decoding at 384Khz.

It ALSO claims to be 'roon tested' and this is noted in the manual, BUT seems to be restricted to USB input, sourced from a PC

Now I run a lot of roon, to many devices.   To appear IN the roon application the device needs to be either Network connected via a LAN, or be visible over WiFi.  The DT-6000 has neither.    So in reality it appears to be a 'dumb device' that is NOT in any way connected to roon?

Eg:  I have a Chord 2GO/2YU that is networked and is visible on roon.   I can connect it to my Denfrips Pontus DAC via USB.     I send a roon signal to the 2Go/2Yu, and the Denafrips receives, decodes and plays the signal.  BUT... Denafrips don't claim to be roon ready, OR 'tested'.     To me it seems the DT6000 is no more roon capable than my Potus.

Has anyone used the DT6000, and can maybe explain if I am missing anything??  Or are Rotel maybe being a big over generous in the call?

These have been at this runout price for at least 6 months at some dealers as I’ve toyed with the idea of getting one.
