Further Information

Hello here I have a NBS Master IVGrade Item: NBS Cable 15ft.6in long  Power Cord with all 3 X Furutech Plugs.

I am offering my almost 16ft (7.1 M) power cord as pictured after many loyal years of service-bought in the late 90's in the US direct from Walter Fields of NBS, it has proved to be one of the benchmark power cords especially for Hi power Amps.

In my case the Wall plug was way down the room from the ideal Setup space— plus I had a PurePower Regenerator with the C19 inlet—this served the purpose superbly—also you may have big Power Amp/Conditioner /etc or anything that needs the grunt  and transmission of this cable they are indeed the real deal for lengthy AC. Selling as moved digs and downsized now.

On the NBS Site the Cable basic 6Ft is $1000USD As I ordered this specially I received fair deal on the extra length the RRP would be $4400AUD if marketed locally.— I have included  in the sale a Furutech C-14 IEC loose plug as pictured so the buyer can change if necessary.

This a big robust and heavy cable and unfortunately the AUS/NZ HPD Plugs I sent to NBS for these at the time basically were not up to snuff and the pins became loose with flexing of the insertion pins /etc-- they were frankly poorly made plastic--as seemed to be the 90s norm. These now as shown have been terminated with current Furutech units which grip like the proverbial-this cable needed a firm grip--the difference was noticeable immediately. The US Pricing above is without the current Furutech Plugs.

1x16ft (7.1)NBS Hi power MasterIV Extension Cable Furutech F-AU 3112-N1(G) + FI -31(G) 20A C19 IEC and extra C14 F1-28 15A

Near Mint Condition as per the pics posted  asking $845 with  FOC Express Post Aust wide-please feel free ask any questions thank you.

Excellent sounding cable and incredible value for the money.

Just be aware that due to the construction they cannot be cut to shorter lengths and reterminated. Has to be used in the full length.
If the full length suits purpose, you won’t be able to buy better.

Could someon elaborate on how the construction specifically prevents the construction of shorter lengths and reconstuction of plugs. I am very curious.

Yes  indeed I heard this comment at Shows in the Early/Mid 90s too--I bought this one up with Walter Fields  once --he mentioned something about constant transmission lengths etc and I left it at that--but KLM is correct it is a NBS mantra and I also do not know the full reason why the final cables are mandatory to remain as such.

I'm as at sea on the reasoning as the rest of you--but I'm big NBS fan having owned  the Interconnects /Speaker and Digital versions, so I guess the answer will go to the grave with Walter.

As aside he is one of the few Hi End Audio designers that is Afro American, also an absolute gentleman.

The main reason the cable sounds as good as it does is the issue with cutting it into shorter lengths. I have no intention of elaborating on a manufacturers design other than to say these are completely handmade and if it is chopped into shorter lengths then the product becomes redundant as the entire construction is compromised. By all means buy it and use it in the existing length and be very happy.
