The Halcro DM series doesn't need much introduction. The absolute pinnacle of Australian-made amplifiers (and amplifiers generally) and winners of countless awards, the DM series is iconic in its performance, insanely low distortion, and also its unique look (not to mention prodigious weight)

This model is the DM38 Stereo Power Amplifier (180W per channel into 8ohms, 350 into 4 ohms) with an original price in Aus of ~$35,000. Has both single-ended and balanced inputs, in addition to Current inputs if connecting to a DM8 or DM10 Halcro Pre-Amplifier.

It's in perfect operational condition and almost perfect cosmetically (see photos). Purchased off SNA around 4 years ago and enjoyed immensely since, this amplifier has also been serviced by Lance at Halcro who is the original engineer (Halcro are now owned by Magenta Audio, so you can easily get repairs/servicing if ever needed from the original builder, receipt available) and given a perfect operational rating in addition to some preventative capacitor replacements in the power supply to ensure longevity. Lance also noted that the DM are so over-built and have so many protection mechanisms that almost the entire original fleet globally is still perfectly operational.

I've run this as my primary amplifier since purchasing and its been amazing. Super clear sound, powerful delivery, awesome aesthetics (WAF factor is high, my Mrs is sad I'm looking at parting with 'the little fridge') and I couldn't have asked for more. I'm not in a hurry to sell this amplifier and would gladly keep it forever, but my 'collection' has gotten a bit silly so want to thin the herd a bit.
