Hi all, up until now I've been happy with my Focal Elears  but I find myself recently preferring not to wear headphones, so it's time to start looking at some speakers better than the powered bookshelves I'm currently using.

 

Ideally looking to spend $1k but could stretch to $1.5k for something really nice, and potentially up to $2k for a full surround system as that's the end goal.

Priority now though is some nice floorstanders and/or something to drive them.

 

I'm sure somebody in SA has a setup in a spare room or packed away in the shed they'd be willing to part with!

Hi skobb I have a pair of paradigm studio 100v5 which you might be interested in, but I’m wanting $2k. They are in perfect condition I just don’t use them anymore. Also I’m in Adelaide so no freight issues. Look them up you will find great reviews out there.

Hi Maury, thanks for the offer! Unfortunately $2k is a little much for just the two speakers for me right now, I still need to factor in a decent amp and future plans for surround sound.

I'm looking at reviews right now and it is tempting however, perhaps if I don't find anything after a while I'll be tempted to change my mind.
