Further Information

This is the award winning Coincident MC Phono Pre Amp, the MkII version (latest).  The line stage is selectable by a front panel toggle switch. It selects to "CD" but you can attach any other source eg a streamer.  There are 2 units - one power supply and one amp. They are connected by a Coincident umbilical cord (pictured). There are no circuit boards, its all point to point wiring and very high quality components. As you can see from the photographs it is in excellent condition. It comes with a full set of 4 Mullard 12AX7s (pictured), which will be extracted and packed away in their own boxes. They have about 200 - 300 hours on them. Plenty of life left.

There is 66 db gain with a volume control for each independent channel. If you use a separate pre amp, set the volume to the max and make finer adjustments at the pre amp. The impedance is adjustable across a wide range to suit most MC cartridges:  3-10, 11-30, 31-100, 101-300.  There is a mute switch - very useful when changing records or if you've got to take the call etc. Also,  an AC ground lift switch, though I never needed it and found it to be exceptionally quiet, without hum. There are two pairs of RCA outs, so you can bi-amp if you wish.

The Coincident web page has all the specs (and much praise) here: https://coincidentspeaker.com/preamps.html.  There are many glowing reviews out there. It a wonderful sounding phono stage. I used it with a Palmer 2.5 and Icon Audio 845 monoblocs.

The Absolute Sound included it in their 2023 Editor’s Choice Best Phono Stages over $6000 USD. They said this about it:

“Coincident has surpassed itself with its marvellous new tube phonostage. Powered by a 40-pound separate power supply that connects to the main unit with an umbilical cord, the Coincident packs an unbelievable wallop, particularly in the bass. The Coincident is tailor-made to drive rock or orchestral music. Its rich midrange, deep low end, and sizzling dynamic swings make a wide variety of LPs sound more lifelike, endowing the music with a real sense of drama and urgency. Vocals have a creaminess to them that is difficult to resist. Put bluntly, the Statement makes a real statement.”

New from Coincident, the Phono is $6499 USD. At current exchange rates that is equivalent to about $9,750 AUD.

The serial No: 003046

It can be shipped at cost to the buyer, or collected. Each unit is very well packed in its original boxes, with both double boxed together in a single large box. The total wight is about 31Kg.
