One of the best tube rolling HP amps around, sadly don’t have the time to use it much anymore.

I’ve only powered it up twice over the last year and sold my main headphones so selling this one on for someone else to enjoy.

It can run a huge range of tubes and its auto-bias, so no need to set each time! It still has bias pin holes to read the bias if needed.

It can run two voltages ranges - Low (240V) and High (270V), so e.g 6L6 tubes all the way upto KT150 etc.

Also has a Triode and Ultra-Linear (UL) switch and has speaker outputs for high efficiency speakers. It outputs a max of 6 watts in Class A.

I already have 2 other McChanson amps and this is the easiest to set/use and the best for headphone use (even lower ohm ones).

Since I don’t have a need for all my single tubes now, I’m doing a bulk package as per photos. Some great tubes too! All were brought as NOS or near too, all should work but didn’t have the time to test them all.

Only comes with a single 6BW4 Rectifier and a couple of sets of power tubes as I’m keep my other tubes for my bigger amps. Comes with 6922 to 6SN7, 12AU7/12AX7 to 6SN7, 6CG7 to 12AU7/12AX7 and Dual 7193 to 6SN7 Adaptors. I am missing the 5755 to 12AU7/12AX7 Adaptor though but can be brought online for $15. Comes with socket savers for the amp too.

Eric is happy to help with what tubes to use etc and is a big following on Head-Fi with a master Excel of tube compatibility that gets updated (I can PM you the latest one).
I can also help and can send you all the info/notes from Eric on the amp too.

This is the original version of the Burson Audio Playmate - a high quality DAC (digital to analogue converter) and headphone amplifier.

Other information:
This is a serious head-amp/DAC. It features Burson's MCPS (maximum current power supply internal circuitry) to allow very high transients - it's a very dynamic device to listen to.
Form factor is identical to a 5.25 inch optical drive. If you want to (I have never done this), you can install this unit into a 5.25" drive slot in your PC - to give you an amazing game sound experience. When installed this way, it can be powered by standard PC 12V power connector. And the front panel mic input is for your headset's mic.
Burson is a pioneer of op-amp 'rolling' (swapping) to improve the overall sound signature. This device is fitted with one pair of Burson's V6 Vivid op-amps and one pair of V6 Classic. Together, these are valued at RRP = $342 (they are still current Burson products).
IR remote volume/mute control is included (was optional at time of purchase).

Selling my Chord Qutest DAC. This is a fantastic little DAC and easily one of the best standalone DACs in its price range. It’s been a core part of my setup and has always impressed me.
Honestly a bit sad to see this one go, but recently I’ve been listening mostly through IEMs with portable gear, so my desktop chain hasn’t been getting much use.
For those familiar with the Qutest, no need to say more, this is just very clean, resolving and natural sound. It also has the selectable filter options so you can slightly tailor the presentation to your preference.

Selling my Cayin IHA-6 headphone amplifier. This is one of those pieces that’s a bit underrated in the market but if anyone knows this is very capable and powerful, it can drive my meze empyrean just well (also selling).

The only reason I’m moving it on is that I’ve been using IEMs much more recently, so my full-size headphone setup hasn’t been getting much use.

This is a 4.4mm Balanced connection Dongle Dac so you will need a 4.4 cabled headset. Quite powerful, as in, can run most all headphones at plenty volume. Currently listening on Sennheiser ie 200's so pretty good all round for iem's. Exceptional clarity and SQ at this price. Only downside is it is pretty power hungry so if you intend all day phone use fugedaboutit/ few hrs fine. Hook this up to your computer and you might not need to upgrade a cheap/excellent streaming setup for a long time.

I'm the original owner of this Woo Audio WA22 Class A push pull fully balanced headphone amp.  This is a Gen1 version which doesn't have the preamplifier output on the back, but is more powerful.  Give me more power over a pre any day.  This will run pretty much any set of headphones.  It has driven my Audeze and Hifiman headphones superbly, albeit they're incredibly different animals.  It's from Woo so you know it's quality, built in the USA (11 kgs!).  This comes with two full sets of tubes - the stock ones that came with the unit and also the ones I've upgraded to (N.O.S. and direct from Woo Audio). I purchased the amp about 10 years ago.  Usage for the first two years was about once or twice per week mainly on the stock tubes.  Over the past 8 years you'd be lucky if it's been turned on a dozen times - that's why I'm selling it.  This is not my main listening gear, I have a stereo set-up so it's been sitting on the desk as a paper weight for a long time.  The 596 wouldn't have 10 hours on it.  The 5998's and 6SN7GT less than 100 hours.  Stock tubes a few hundred hours.  This presents in excellent condition and works perfectly.

All tubes and the amp work perfectly, no issues or problems whatsoever. Aesthetically the unit is excellent. I can't list it as Mint purely because of age, but no other reason.

The stock tubes are included in the sale, no I will not separate.  The following upgraded tubes were bought NOS directly from Woo Audio -

Unfortunately, it does have the famous USB problem (it doesn't work) but I have bought a USB to optical cable, and it works perfectly with it. Coax/optical is working fine and headphone amp is working great (that's what I was mainly using it for) with an external DAC.

Up for sale is the fabulous Moon by Simaudio 430ha/d headphone amplifier with onboard DSD capable DAC. 
 
A powerful amplifier mated to the 280D DAC in one chassis, it brings the Moon house sound of high resolution, deep bass and treble sweetness to headphones. It’s 8W into 50ohms and load ambivalence below 32ohms make it a great choice for harder to drive headphones. However, I’ve been enjoying even the easy to drive Utopia 2022, where the benefits over the TT2 I use are better separation and impact in the bass. Further to that, there’s so much power on tap that really complex and huge music can be played at glorious volumes without the stage moving about or changing in size. The TT2 can’t do that.

Even though this is a great head amp, I have no time to use head-fi equipment due to changes in my family.

This amp is both a great pre-amplifier as well as a great headphone amplifier.

Used in a smoke free & pet free home the Pass Labs HPA-1 Headphone Amplifier has one minor blemish on the side, but apart from that it operates perfectly in both pre-amplifier & headphone amplifier modes.

As a pre-amp it can match Esoteric pre-amps (@ 3x the price!), & can be used to partner any power amplifiers.

Brand new Chord Poly wireless streamer for use with Chord Mojo and Mojo2.

The short story is my original Poly developed a fault so I took it to the NZ distributor to see it could be repaired. Rather than repair it Chord Electronics kindly provided a brand new replacement (amazing service). Given I was hardly using the original Poly I have decided to sell the new one. It has only been taken out of the box for photos and will be able to be registered by the new owner for the factory warranty.

The Poly is an excellent streamer and combined with the Mojo is an amazing setup. Google for heaps of gpsotive reviews online.
