For sale is a pair of Sennheiser HD800 over ear/on ear open back headphones in good cosmetic condition, purchased from a member on Stereonet recently. I bought two pairs of headphones from him and have decided to move this pair on. They are a very clean, transparent sounding headphone and very comfortable but are now excess to my needs.
These are the HD800 (not the current HD800S) and have been fitted with the SDR mod (sourced from the mod designer and installed as per their instruction). The mod is a small foam-composite ring inserted in the baffle, and it reduces a sibilant 6kHz peak in the frequency response, making them far more listenable. Importantly, the mod is completely reversible and requires no special tools, just steady hands.
the SDR modded HD800 is basically the HD800S, but still not entirely the same frequency response-wise. As such the HD800 IMO is great value especially nowadays you can find them used in the market for about US$700-900. Their bright tonality in stock form is already great for classical/accoustic music, and you also have the option of converting them to basically the 800S with the SDR mod.

Selling my Chord Qutest DAC. This is a fantastic little DAC and easily one of the best standalone DACs in its price range. It’s been a core part of my setup and has always impressed me.
Honestly a bit sad to see this one go, but recently I’ve been listening mostly through IEMs with portable gear, so my desktop chain hasn’t been getting much use.
For those familiar with the Qutest, no need to say more, this is just very clean, resolving and natural sound. It also has the selectable filter options so you can slightly tailor the presentation to your preference.

Selling my Cayin IHA-6 headphone amplifier. This is one of those pieces that’s a bit underrated in the market but if anyone knows this is very capable and powerful, it can drive my meze empyrean just well (also selling).

The only reason I’m moving it on is that I’ve been using IEMs much more recently, so my full-size headphone setup hasn’t been getting much use.

Selling my Meze Empyrean (MK1). Honestly a bit of a shame to let this bad boy go. This is absolutely fabulous headphone and still one of the most comfortable and enjoyable flagships I’ve owned.
The only reason I’m moving them on is that recently I’ve been busy and find myself using my IEMs much more, so these haven’t been getting the listening time they deserve, so I’m gradually letting go of some of my hi-fi gear.
For those who know the Empyrean, they really are something special, incredibly smooth, spacious and musical. And the comfort is honestly second to none, you can wear them for hours without fatigue.
Condition is excellent and fully functional. As it is been sitting the box for a while.

Reason for sell: too many headphones. I bought it from SNA member here as a new unit, only use few hours. Comes with all accessories, it's in perfect condition as shown in pictures. Happy to post via post office. Local pick-up welcome.

Up for sale are my Massdrop/Fostex TH-X00 Mahogany headphones.

They don't make these anymore, but, back before people had to look at a graph to see whether they were allowed to like a headphone, they were quite popular. Lots of bass, a fair bit of zing in the upper treble, great for stuff like RatM.

I've marked the condition as Good because the pads are a little flaky (TH610 pads are apparently a drop in replacement), and the cable has the inevitable internal twist that these all get. Everything functions well, however, and the cups are gorgeous.

Postage is included - standard and tracked.

This is a 4.4mm Balanced connection Dongle Dac so you will need a 4.4 cabled headset. Quite powerful, as in, can run most all headphones at plenty volume. Currently listening on Sennheiser ie 200's so pretty good all round for iem's. Exceptional clarity and SQ at this price. Only downside is it is pretty power hungry so if you intend all day phone use fugedaboutit/ few hrs fine. Hook this up to your computer and you might not need to upgrade a cheap/excellent streaming setup for a long time.

This is a 32bit 384kz Dual dac with excellent amplification/ if it suits the use case a no brainer. POST INCLUDED. As New.

Good condition Focal Bathys noise cancelling wireless headphones.  I bought these from the original owner for use during an overseas trip and they were excellent. However, with a pair Focal Stellia headphones at home I’ve found I’ve hardly used them since the trip. Function perfectly and very good cosmetic condition with just some minor signs of wear on the ear pads.  Comes with the original box, paperwork and travel case.  Very well reviewed and incredible sound for a wireless and noise cancelling headphone.

Unfortunately, it does have the famous USB problem (it doesn't work) but I have bought a USB to optical cable, and it works perfectly with it. Coax/optical is working fine and headphone amp is working great (that's what I was mainly using it for) with an external DAC.
