WEST COAST HI-FI MIDLAND INVITES YOU TO A SPECIAL EVENING
We wish we could book the Red-Eye flight west to Midland in Western Australia in time for Thursday the 27th of September. Sadly we can’t make what promises to be a fantastic evening listening to some of the world’s best audio gear from the likes of Audio Research, McIntosh and Sonus faber, but we hope you can attend.
West Coast Hi-Fi Midland have organised the night which offers your chance to meet and greet hi-fi luminaries the calibre of Jean-Philipe Fontaine from Sonus faber and chat about the new Olympica and Homage range he’ll be showcasing on the night.
You’ll also get a chance to ask Isotek’s technical guru, Bjoern Kort all about solutions to mains and air-borne noise.
Also on display and wired and fired will be gear by Focal including Chorus and Aria Speakers, Musical Fidelity, Rotel, SVS, Marantz, B&W, Pro-Ject, Rega and a bundle of hi-res music streamers.
McIntosh is represented by the MA5200 and MA6700 integrated amps along with its MC452 450 watt stereo power amp, the C47 Preamp and MC303 power amp.
Analogue will feature large on the night, and along with vinyl spinners from Pro-Ject and Rega, you’ll have the chance to see and hear the astonishing MAG-LEV Audio ML1 levitating turntable.
A child of the 60s, the Mag Lev’s levitation feature resonates deeply within me, and I feel compelled to reach into a crusty box of mementoes and haul out my hippy beads and headband. Ommmm indeed.
