ViewSonic’s M1+_G2 is a Small Footprint, Big Performance LED Projector

Take the big screen with you, where you go with ViewSonic's new M1+_G2   palm-sized projector capable of shooting a 100-inch picture from just 2.6 meters away.

Weighing in at just 750-grams, the M1+_G2 offers up to 6-hours of in-built battery life and an LED light source said to last up to 30,000 hours. From projecting movies and concerts to playing console games, from the backyard to the office. It's portable and lightweight enough to take away on holidays (remember those?) and perfect for everything from camping to the next Airbnb booking.

It comes with a convenient 360° smart stand that enables projection in every direction. It also boasts integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, so both wireless casting from smart devices and built-in content streaming are available.

Jack Hung, Country Manager at ViewSonic Australia, told StereoNET:

Despite its compact, lightweight design, ViewSonic has made no compromises to the unit's technological prowess. As an industry leader in visual technology, we are dedicated to innovating and upgrading LED projectors, making them smarter, easier to use, and thus enhancing the user experience.

With integrated dual speakers by Harman Kardon, the portable projector is also equipped with its Cinema SuperColor+ Technology, claiming 125% Rec.709.

In a move we've love to see more of from CE manufacturers, ViewSonic supplies the M1_G2 in a paper-based, biodegradable, and 99% recyclable packaging to help minimise its carbon footprint.

The ViewSonic M1+_G2 is available now and sells in Australia for $569 RRP.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
