Q Acoustics 3030i Standmount Loudspeakers Now Available
Q Acoustics has added a new model to its award-winning 3000i loudspeaker range: the 3030i standmount speaker.
Slipping neatly between the 3020i bookshelf speaker and 3050i floorstander, the 3030i has been engineered to provide more powerful bass performance while remaining conveniently compact.
We're told that even though it retains the size and appearance of a standmount speaker (200 x 325 x 329 mm (WxHxD)), it derives its woofer design from the much larger and more powerful 3050i floor-stander.
The 65mm (6.5-inch) woofer has been optimised for use in a smaller standmount-style cabinet and is armed with a new motor with copper-clad aluminium windings. The result of that and sporting twice the internal volume of the 3020i, the 3030i can go right down to an impressive 46Hz and up to 30 kHz.
Also borrowed from the 3050i is the newcomer's tweeter and mounting arrangement adding to the 3030i's class-leading high-frequency performance, according to the company.
High cabinet rigidity and low distortion are accomplished by using Point to Point P2P bracing tech, first introduced in the flagship Concept 500 speaker. Additionally, the bespoke floor stand provides excellent stability while positioning the tweeter at the optimal listening height.

The Q Acoustics 3030i is available now and sells in Australia for $899 RRP in Arctic White, Carbon Black, Graphite Grey and English Walnut.
