PURE MUSIC GROUP LAUNCHES AUDIONET
We’d walk over broken glass just to see and hear the massive range of hi-end audio brands assembled by Pure Music Group for this year’s Melbourne International Hi-Fi Show.
The group’s suite will host Antipodes Audio, Argento Audio, Audionet, Elektra, Gauder Akustik, KII Audio, Kuzma, Lyra, Mola Mola, Playback Designs, SME, T+A, TechDAS, and Thales.
AUDIONET Electronics rounds off this comprehensive display. The full range of this German brand’s amplification will be unveiled at the show.
Worth seeking out in the range are the Max monobloc power amps and the matching Pre G2 preamp along with the PAM G2 phono stage and flagship EPX Power Supply. Stereophile recently awarded the Max amps a Class A award/rating.
The analogue source chosen for the Pure Music Group display system is the Kuzma Stabi Reference 2 turntable carrying a Kuzma 4point 9-inch tonearm. This turntable sets a benchmark for performance at its price point.
The new tonearm is equipped with a unique bearing system for ultra-precise tracking and a full range of easy user adjustment.
The cartridge fitted to the Kuzma turntable is the Kleos SL, a low output version of the acclaimed mid-tier Kleos moving coil cartridge. This model is revered for its fast and resolving sound along with jaw-dropping dynamics.
Pure Music Group will be demonstrating these elite models with the stunning sounding Gauder Akustik Cassiano MK 11 speakers. This is a recently upgraded model and one considered to be revealing, precise and truly musical.
Kii THREE active speakers recently reviewed by StereoNET can be heard in the Pure Music Group room at dedicated Kii THREE listening session times. Stereophile also recently rated the Kii Three as a Class A recommended component.
Digital sources haven’t been ignored, and New Zealand's Antipodes Audio will debut three new desirable models including EDGE, CORE and the spanking new DX Generation 3. The Playback Designs Merlot DAC will handle DAC conversion.
The room will host a full range of Argento Audio cables from Denmark and the outstanding Ictra Design KEO Hi-Fi rack.
Pure Music Group will be located in Room 1315 at the HiFi Show that takes place across three days from Friday 3rd November 2017.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
