PSB Speakers Imagine Series Announced
PSB Speakers announces its new generation Imagine Series, promising premium sound and value without compromise.
PSB Speakers' highly acclaimed Imagine Series speaker line welcomes its latest generation: the B50 Bookshelf, T54 and T65 Tower speakers. The Canadian company states its Imagine Series “represents the best value no-compromise performance in the PSB Speakers' line-up”.
Featuring the advanced crossover design and driver complement directly inherited from the flagship Synchrony Series, it also shares the chamfered edges and polished aluminium accents of the premium PWM Series. We are told that the “clever value engineering” has the Alpha Series to thank for that.
The T65 towers stand as the pinnacle within the Imagine Series and boast a driver array comprising a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter, 5.25-inch midrange, and dual 6.5-inch woofers - driver cones are of woven carbon fibre. The T65 showcases a 3-way dual bass reflex configuration, integrating paired rear slot ports and tuned woofer chambers. PSB tells us its Linkwitz-Riley 4th order crossover design leverages each driver's natural roll-off points with precise sound control.
The Imagine T54 floorstanders also get the 1-inch titanium tweeter, married to a woven carbon fibre 4-inch mid and dual 5.25-inch woofers. Embracing the 3-way dual bass reflex architecture reminiscent of the T65 and featuring dual rear-firing slot ports from the PWM Series, the T54 promises a wide frequency range and pin-point imaging from a slender form.
The Imagine B50 Bookshelf combines the 1-inch tweeter and 5.25-inch woofer in a compact footprint. Featuring a 2-way bass reflex design and rear-facing slot port, they are more than capable of filling any space with “true-to-nature sound and unexpectedly deep bass extension”, says PSB.
PWM SERIES INTEGRATION
The PWM On-Wall speakers are designed to support the Imagine Series as centre channels or surround channels in any multi-channel application. The Imagine Series's aluminium trim rings and chamfered edges not only enhance the visual aesthetics but ensure a harmonious visual match with the PWM Series to complete any home theatre.
The new PSB Speakers Imagine Series are available now in Satin White and Black finishes - Imagine B50 ($1,249), Imagine T54 ($2,699), Imagine T65 ($3,599).
