Pro-Ject Releases Debut Carbon Evo Turntable

Turntable specialists, Pro-Ject, has released its Debut Carbon Evo, that it says is “the refinement of the most popular Pro-Ject turntable design, the Debut Carbon.”
Pro-Ject's minimalist yet stylish design carries on with the new release. It features an internally TPE-dampened metal platter (with increased weight of 1.7kg), three height-adjustable heavy-duty metal feet, a redesigned motor suspension system for vibration reduction and electronic speed control, one-piece carbon fibre tonearm, as well as many more improved features. The suspension employed on the new Debut Carbon Evo is said to use some elements taken from Pro-Ject's award-winning X1 turntable.
The new release comes supplied with a factory-fitted and pre-adjusted Ortofon 2M Red phono cartridge.
Pro-Ject's Debut is one of the company's best selling turntables, and indeed, one of the best selling products in hi-fi history, with a reported one million pieces sold. Renowned for sensible pricing yet excellent performance, there's good reason Pro-Ject are making a big deal about this new release. The company says “the perfected Debut Carbon Evo marks the most exciting and important release from Pro-Ject Audio in the last two years.”
On arrival in September, you'll be able to choose from a range of no less than nine finishes, including High Gloss colours including black, white and red, Satin finishes including black, white, blue, green, and yellow. Finally, a Walnut finish completes the range of colours.
Pro-Ject's distributor in Australia and New Zealand, Interdyn, tells us that limited stock will arrive in September, with more coming in all finishes in October. Pre-orders via your local specialist are recommended.
