Naim Launches Uniti Nova PE & New CI Series at ISE 2024
Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024 is going on now and that means plenty of exciting announcements. This time, it’s Naim announcing a new addition to the company’s well-known Uniti range with the Uniti Nova PE, as well as three products in a new CI range designed to complement integrated setups and CI Focal loudspeakers.
This is the first time Naim and Focal are offering complete solutions in the Custom Integration (CI) market, catering for home, maritime and commercial spaces.
Starting with the Uniti Nova PE, this is a high-res audio player and stereo amplifier with 150W per channel of Class D amplification, allowing for even demanding loudspeakers to be powered by this compact box. It also offers music streaming via Tidal, Apple Music, Spotify Connect and Qobuz, with built-in AirPlay 2, Chromecast, UPnP, Roon Ready and aptX Adaptive support.
As for ports, there are Optical TOSLINK, coaxial RCA and BNC for digital inputs, and a second set of RCA outputs for bi-amping or connecting to a subwoofer. The Uniti Nova PE even comes with a ZigBee RF bi-directional remote control that can control the unit even if it’s out of line of sight.
The Naim Uniti Nova PE will be available from Q2 2024 onwards, with a recommended retail price of US$10,000.
Moving on to the CI range, there are three new products, the CI-Uniti 102, which is an all-in-one streamer and amplifier, the CI-NAP 108 is an 8-channel amplifier and lastly, the CI-NAP 101 is a low and high impedance mono power amplifier.
The CI-Uniti 102 is a streamer/amplifier designed to fit into indoor and outdoor spaces, provide amplification and enhance audio from media sources like a TV, gaming console and more. The integrated DSP inside provides full system calibration, allowing it to interconnect with the CI-NAP 108 and CI-NAP 101 units.
The super compact integrated power amplifier provides 150W of power at 8 ohms and there’s multiroom capability for up to 32 rooms with wired and wireless streaming capabilities.
The CI-NAP 108 is a rack-mounted 8-channel power amplifier with 10 RCA inputs and 10 RCA outputs that allow for daisy-chaining to other amplifiers if needed. The CI-NAP 108 has temperature-controlled fans and can even sense when music is playing, with an auto-standby feature kicking in after 20 minutes of idling.
Last but not least, the CI-NAP 101 is a rack-mountable mono power amplifier that can run in either low or high-impedance mode. Paired with the CI-Uniti 102, it’s designed to be used with subwoofers and high-impedance speakers and it can be used in conjunction with audio-video processors.
There are 70/100 amplifier outputs on the rear, with stereo RCA inputs and outputs. In low impedance mode, the CI-NAP 101 can push 500W of power at 8 ohms, while high impedance mode sees 240W of power at 100V.
The CI-Uniti 102 is priced at US$1,499 while the CI-NAP 108 will be going for US$2,999 and the CI-NAP 101 will retail for US$1,499. All three products will be available from Q2 2024 onwards.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
