Klipsch Cinema 1200 and 800 Atmos Soundbars Now Available
Klipsch has released its beefier Dolby Atmos soundbars. The Klipsch Cinema 1200 and Cinema 800 promise a “major upgrade to TV sound”, streaming smarts and real wood cabinets.
Following on from the hugely successful Cinema 400 and 600 soundbars, announced last year, Klipsch's big guns can also now be found in stores.
Naturally, both the Cinema 1200 and 800 soundbars feature horn-loaded technology drawn from the company's acclaimed Reference speakers.
Additionally, they come partnered with subwoofers for added low-end reinforcement. Also, next-gen HDMI eARC, 8K passthrough and support for Dolby Vision HDR all have their boxes ticked.
According to Klipsch, the flagship Cinema 1200 is good for 1200 watts. Furthermore, you get all you need for Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 (it will decode 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos) in the box thanks to the soundbar's upward-firing Atmos speakers, a 12-inch wireless subwoofer and a pair of wireless surround modules (above).
Meanwhile, the 48-inch Cinema 800 could be just the thing if you don't quite have the room and/ or budget for the 1200.
The Klipsch Cinema 800 serves up 3.1 sound (it also decodes 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos like its larger sibling) and comes with a 10-inch wireless subwoofer.
Also, you have the option to add the Klipsch Surround 3 wireless surround speakers (£265/ €299 extra) for an even more immersive surround sound experience.
Both models are Bluetooth-equipped and sport up-to-date streaming smarts with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Spotify Connect on board. That little lot should satisfy most people's requirements for multi-room streaming, as well as impactful audio for gaming and movies.
The 54-inch Cinema 1200 and 800 are available from August for $2,599 RRP and $1,399 RRP respectively.
The Klipsch Cinema 600 ($999 RRP) and 400 ($699 RRP) Sound Bars are available now.
