Having recently launched in Singapore, the Emeya is Lotus' first four-door electric hyper-GT and also one of the fastest electric GTs in the world. It has active aerodynamic features and a 0-100km/h time of just under 2.8 seconds for the Emeya R model.

With up to five driving modes, such as Range, Tour, Sport, Individual, and Track, drivers can control the ride height, air suspension stiffness, acceleration response, seat configuration, and more. The electronically controlled air suspension system responds to changes in road conditions and automatically adjusts the set-up for a smooth ride and optimum driving experience.

Inside the cabin, there is an ambient lighting system with lights pulsing and changing colours to notify of charging or incoming calls. A new luxury thread called Wyron Truecycle has been invented from repurposed fibres from the fashion industry. It is used alongside advanced sustainable materials and other materials like Alcantara to save weight and reduce the car's carbon footprint.

There's also a large 55-inch projected head-up display for the driver, which displays essential vehicle data, real-time road information with navigation, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) data. The display also displays turn signals, obstacle warnings, lane departure, forward collision alerts, and blind-spot monitoring.

For other passengers, a 15.1-inch HD OLED Lotus HyperOS infotainment system can access the car's functions. However, the KEF audio system is centre stage, with the same two system options first seen in the Eletre. The KEF Premium option is a 15-speaker system, while the KEF Reference option comes with 23-speakers.

Both systems have KEF's award-winning Uni-Q speaker design and Uni-Core space-saving subwoofer enclosure, with Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound. Lotus promises a high-fidelity audio experience thanks to integrated road noise cancellation (RNC). With multiple vibration sensors installed on the vehicle's body, motion in the tyres and suspension can be detected, and algorithms can generate anti-phase signals through the speakers to counteract interference.

All this is powered by Emeya's new high-performance, twin-layer battery, which uses a cell-to-pack battery structure, allowing for 20% more cells in the same space. The battery can charge from 10-80% in just 14 minutes when using a 400kW (600A capable) DC fast charger. A peak charging power of 402kW can be achieved, and the car has a maximum WLTP range of 610km for long journeys.

Regarding safety, 34 surround sensors offer 360-degree perception with no blind spots, with two NVIDIA DRIVE SoCs used to process data up to 30 times a second. There are also four LiDARs, 18 radars, seven 8MP cameras and five 2MP cameras that can scan for obstacles in a 200m radius around the car in each direction to reconstruct a virtual environment and define the best trajectory.

At launch, the Lotus Emeya is available in six stunning exterior colours: Boreal Grey, Fireglow Orange, Solar Yellow, Akoya White, Stellar Black, and Kaimu Grey. It is competitively priced in the luxury GT segment and is now available for booking at your nearest Lotus Centre.
