JBL L75ms All-In-One Music System Announced
JBL predicts that its retro-styled L75ms all-in-one music system will be an "instant classic".
JBL's L75ms definitely has the stylistic chops of the company's reinvented 70s classics, which started with the Applause Award-winning L100 Classic and then, more recently, the L82 Classic and the just-announced L52 Classic.
So, it stands to reason that the all-new JBL L75ms sports a walnut wood veneer finish and black Quadrex foam grille. However, you are greeted with a curved front panel upfront, hinting that there is more afoot here.
Sure enough, behind the Quadrex, sitting in a multi-angled baffle, is a pair of 1-inch titanium dome tweeters, two 5.25-inch white cone woofers with dual front-firing ports, and a 4-inch central midrange driver, each driven by a dedicated channel of amplification and DSP tuning.
Furthermore, more modern technology is to be found by way of wired and wireless network audio capabilities, Google Chromecast Built-in, Apple AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth audio. A 32-bit/192kHz high-resolution DAC does the number-crunching for digital audio, whereas the moving magnet (MM) phono stage should keep vinylistas entertained. Additionally, there's a 3.5mm port and an HDMI ARC input for hooking the L75ms to your television with the benefit of a dedicated signal sensing subwoofer output to add even more impact to your movie experience.
JBL is obviously proud of the capabilities of the L75ms as it has partnered with Qobuz to offer a free trial subscription for customers to provide them with the experience of listening to high-resolution music.
David Solomon, Chief Hi-Res Music Evangelist at Qobuz, told StereoNET:
We are excited to be able to expose more music enthusiasts to our platform by bundling a 90-Day premium subscription with this incredible music system.
Also, to give you some insight into the creation of the L75ms, JBL is working with Qobuz to curate a playlist of songs used by the engineering and product team during the development of the all-in-one.
The JBL L75ms Music System will be available in October/ November. Pricing for Australia is confirmed at $2,799 RRP.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
