Jamo Concert Series
Jamo, distributed in Australia by QualiFi, have released their new flagship 'Concert' series range, comprising ten passive home theatre speakers. The second generation of this range can be summed up in just three words; Simplicity, Elegant, Beautiful.
The Concert Series was envisioned by Kieron Dunk, world-renowned industrial designer. The simple, elegant lines allow each speaker to blend seamlessly into your space and become an extension of your life. High-quality cabinetry, designer finishes and advanced technologies combine to create gorgeous furniture whose exceptional acoustics are surpassed only by their beauty.
Comprised of the high-end, premium C 10 line and the high performance C 9 line, the new Jamo Concert Series includes three floorstanding towers (C 109, C 97 and C 95), three bookshelf models (C 103, C 93 and C 91), two center channels (C 10 CEN and C 9 CEN), and two surrounds (C 10 SUR and C 9 SUR).
New and improved technologies of the Concert series include:
- Evolved Hybrid Composition Conical Cones (HCCC) that provide the stiffness and strength of aluminum or titanium with the transient response and smoothness of wood fibre that self-damps resonance at high frequencies for smooth midrange performance.
- All-new Long Displacement Surround (LDS) design for woofers and midrange drivers that deliver improved low-frequency response that leads to a more natural, open sound.
- Improved Anti-Diffraction WaveGuide (ADW) technology that produces more immersive and impactful listening outside of the sweet spot.
- Redesigned silk dome tweeter diaphragms with extra-large surround that lower distortion and enable greater high-frequency extension.
“Jamo Concert stays true to the brand’s ideals and aims to emphasise the beauty, simplicity, functionality and overall perfection of modern Danish design, while also utilising today’s latest innovations in audio engineering” said Mark Casavant, Senior Vice President of Global Product Development for Klipsch Group. “Consumers can expect a new level of performance and value in the series as it flawlessly combines premium quality with high fidelity.”
The Concert series is scalable and with an array of options within the range allows for a tailored music or home theatre system, depending on budget or application. Prices range from $1,700 to $6,500 for a pair of floorstanding speakers, $750 to $2,800 for a pair of bookshelf speakers, $900 to $2,000 for a pair of surrounds and $600 to $1,600 for a center channel.
Jamo and QualiFi stand by their products, offering a 6 year warranty on the speaker range, and 3 years on subwoofers (when registered with QualiFi).
The entire Concert Series range will be available from mid-November through authorised Jamo dealers.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
