Home Theatre Engineering and Audio Connection Sydney Collaboration
Sydney's flagship audio-visual store Audio Connection has announced a collaboration with one of Australia's best-known home cinema designers, Home Theatre Engineering (HTE).
HTE is based in Perth, Western Australia but provides its services to customers across the country (and even overseas). So to better serve its customers over east, a dedicated Home Theatre Engineering room within Audio Connection's showroom in Leichhardt will operate as a demonstration facility and hub of operation for Home Theatre Engineering's Sydney fans.
Andrew Poole of HTE told StereoNET:
We believe customers deserve the best. This can only be achieved through consultation, planning, testing, measuring and calibration, resulting in image and sound few have ever experienced. It has taken us more than twenty years of study, training practice and investment in the right tools and equipment to ensure every Private Theatre exceeds all expectations.
Michael Rams from Audio Connection added:
We've seen too many systems that have been installed by companies that emphasise fluff over the performance, so when we met the guys at HTE, it was a breath of fresh air. We're very excited about our partnership as it will allow us to work with a like-minded company and offer an enhanced level of customer experience to our valued clients.
Home cinema design is complex and can become a minefield of misinformation that can lead customers down the wrong path – an issue recognised by both companies. Audio Connection and HTE will address this with their expertise, experience, information, industry standards and technically accurate design approach with full transparency so customers are better placed to make informed decisions.
To kick off the collaboration, a series of free and paid events will take place at Audio Connection, with HTE's Andrew Poole holding workshops between April 12-14. Readers can register at the link below.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
