HI-FI SHOW: ‘Made in UK’- All British Showcase with Peter Comeau
Room M8 at this year's StereoNET Hi-FI & AV Show will be an all-British affair with Wharfedale and Audiolab on show.
Australian distributor Audio Visual Revolution will be showcasing Wharfedale's Made in UK Aston and Dovedale loudspeakers, together with Audiolab's latest 9000 Series electronics.
While Wharedale's Aston has been teased for quite some time, we first had a sneak preview at High End Munich in 2022, and while not yet released, you will hear them for the very first time at this year's show.
Little is known about these two upcoming releases. Still, the better news is that the parent company, IAG's Lead Acoustic Designer and industry legend, Peter Comeau, will be present and hosting keynote presentations and listening sessions across all three days. Peter's presentation will focus on the return of UK manufacturing for the company and specifically the Dovedale & Aston releases.
You must book in (free) for one of the sessions - and you'll even get a drink on arrival! The last hour of each day will also include a free Q&A session. Finally, AVR will also display the Wharfedale Aura and Quad Revela.
Visit AVR in Room M8 at the 2023 StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi & AV Show, October 20-22, at the Pullman Hotel & Convention Centre, Queens Road, Albert Park. Tickets are on sale now.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
