Harman Kardon Citation MultiBeam 1100 Atmos Soundbar Announced
Harman Kardon's Citation MultiBeam 1100 is the brand's latest soundbar with added Dolby Atmos.
Harman Kardon's Citation MultiBeam 1100 soundbar is the MultiBeam 700's successor, boasting eleven drivers, including a pair of up-firing height channels to bring the Dolby Atmos magic.
Furthermore, if you're opting for a soundbar to cut down on faff, you will undoubtedly appreciate the Citation MultiBeam 1100's automatic room calibration. This clever tech analyses the soundbar's environment and optimises the audio output for that space.
Additionally, Harman Kardon says that its PureVoice smarts helps to clarify dialogue through the centre channel at any volume and hopefully puts an end to your viewing partner's endless "what did they say?" interruptions.
Music streaming comes by way of Apple AirPlay, Alexa Multi-Room Music and Chromecast built-in, giving you access to over 300 services, including internet radio. Also, there's an HDMI eARC socket ready for duty.
Finally, you can pair the MultiBeam 1100 with other Citation separates such as the Sub S subwoofer and Surround speakers to easily create a 5.1.2-channel system.
The Harman Kardon Citation MultiBeam 1100 will be available in Australia from July 2022 and will sell for $1,199 RRP, offered in either grey or black, featuring wool fabric from acoustic textiles experts Kvadrat.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
