Great Music and Fine Sound from Pure Music Group

Pure Music Group has developed a reputation for creating stunning high-fidelity audio systems that convey the timing, emotion and accuracy of music.

The 2016 Melbourne International HiFi Show will of course be no different. Pure Music Group will present superlative components from International and local manufacturers in Room 1315.

Forming their main demonstration system, the TechDAS Air Force III turntable will debut, featuring vacuum hold-down platter, air bearing and impeccable pedigree inherited from Japan’s much lauded Micro Seiki.

The Air Force III can accommodate up to four tonearms, and utilises many of the technologies pioneered by the Air Force I and II turntables, in a more affordable package. Pure Music Group's digital source will come from New Zealand's Antipodes Audio. Founder, Mark Jenkins will be on hand to answer all your questions regarding computer audio, Roon and other topics.

Mola-Mola will present the latest version of their stunning Makua preamplifier, now available with a state of the art DAC and Phono Stage on board. Not only does this reduce the box count for a true high-end system, but also saves a significant amount of money in cables, while providing an unparalleled level of control from the digital interface.

Gauder Akustik is causing a sensation at HiFi shows overseas, with the Berlina RC-7 now in Mk II guise. RC-7 has recently won several Best Sound at Show awards with amplifiers from Accuphase, ASR, Octave, Vitus and others.

This demonstrates that this versatile speaker can partner with many high quality amplifiers and deliver top class sound. Visitors will also see the superb KEO audio rack from Paralyse Audio in Germany, the KEO is a work of art in minimalist design but with excellent acoustic qualities.

The desktop system will showcase the amazing ME-Geithain RL906 Active Monitor speakers which are used by recording professionals all over Europe. These small speakers are astounding for their neutrality and quality in a small package. The legendary Audio Alchemy company has been reborn, and their DDP-1 DAC/Preamp delivers exceptional sound quality at a very affordable price.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
