It's been a long time between drinks for industry members and enthusiasts alike. That's why Wavetrain Cinemas in Taren Point, Sydney, is throwing open its doors on Saturday 20th November.

Wavetrain Cinemas are one of the most-awarded cinema designers in the country, and they're offering the rare opportunity to experience one of the best projectors available for residential use, the Christie M 4K25 RGB Projector. It will be partnered with Lumagen video processing and StormAudio taking care of the audio processing. Finally, you'll get the chance to hear the first public demo of Australia's Elementi Audio cinema speakers

Two cinemas will be in operation, with Cinema 1 running the Elementi' Fire' system in a 9.1.4 configuration with a Christie M 4K25 RGB laser projector. Meanwhile, Cinema 2 will be an Elementi 'Air' system in a 7.1.6 configuration with a BenQ X12000H CinePro Series projector.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along their favourite music or movies and simply enjoy a no-obligation demo and get together with like-minded enthusiasts and StereoNET readers. Food and drinks will be provided, and the evening will kick off at 6:30 PM.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
