Focal & Naim Join Forces in Australia

What was perhaps one of the worst kept secrets in the local HiFi scene, has now been made official with the announcement overnight that N.A. Distributors have been appointed distribution rights to Focal in Australia and New Zealand.

N.A. Distributors, already representing Naim, now add Focal to their portfolio after a few decades being represented by Audio Marketing. The strategic move reflects the 2011 global merger of Naim and Focal, uniting two brands under one distribution umbrella and according to the company, is “a strategy that makes sound business sense”.

The agreement extends only to Focal's home audio range, with the automotive range still being distributed by long time representatives, Eastcoast Distributors.

N. A. Distributors' Director Chris Murphy told StereoNET:

We are delighted that our strong business performance as Naim Audio's Australian and New Zealand Distributor fits with Focal's long-term plan for this market.

All of us are excited about the possibilities for expanding Focal's presence in Australia and the opportunity to enhance the Naim brand with the addition of Focal products.

The new distribution agreement is effective from May 1st, 2015.
