Cyrus Audio Responds to New Market Changes

British Hi-Fi manufacturer, Cyrus Audio, has responded quickly to an ever-changing market and ways of doing business by announcing its 'in-home trial' program in the UK.

The initiative for its ONE Series of products which includes Cyrus ONE, ONE HD and ONE Cast amplifiers, and the ONE linear speaker system, enables you to follow government advice by socially distancing yourself, avoiding person-to-person contact, yet staying entertained.

A “small security deposit” is required, and via one of Cyrus' UK specialist retailers, you can try Cyrus products in the comfort of your own home for 14 days.

Cyrus Audio's MD, Simon Freethy, told StereoNET:

The relaxation a good music system can provide has never been so important. With large numbers of people being asked to work from home and/or self-isolating, we want to ensure they have the opportunity for the escapism of music, without the stress of having to directly visit a hi-fi retailer.

The initiative, while only available in the UK currently, was designed by Cyrus Audio to “support its retailers and the added value they offer above online stores.” It removes the need to physically visit a retail store and according to reports, has already been well supported by customers.

Hats off to Cyrus Audio, and we'd love to see more distributors and retailers offering similar programs in Australia and New Zealand throughout the current epidemic.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
