Cyrus Audio Hosts Virtual Vinyl Day This Saturday
Cyrus Audio is hosting a virtual record store day event this Saturday evening, featuring a host of industry names.
The British manufacturer of amplifiers, phono stages, CD players, and streaming music players, has announced it will be hosting a live-stream as part of their “Virtual Vinyl Day.” You are invited to tune in to Cyrus' YouTube channel from 20:00 – 21:30 AEST on Saturday, April 18th.
The programme will include several audio professionals talking about their appreciation of vinyl, music, and, of course, Cyrus products.
The online event will feature top recording engineers and luminaries of the Hi-Fi world, who will discuss their favourite vinyl albums and why they are important to them.
Featured guests include audio engineers Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran) and David Baron (Lenny Kravitz, Jade Bird). We'll also hear from Peter Thomas (co-founder, PMC Loudspeakers), Bob Surgeoner (founder, Neat Acoustics), and Conrad Mas (founder, Avid HiFi); even a member or two from the StereoNET team will be on screen. Additionally, Cyrus' own team of award-winning engineers and senior staff members will participate alongside Jon Tolley of Banquet Records.
Bringing it all together, Simon Freethy (Managing Director, Cyrus Audio), will hold live Q&A discussions and viewers will have the opportunity to enter a competition to win a StereoNET Applause Award Winning Cyrus ONE Cast featuring a built-in phono stage.
Simon told StereoNET:
With so many people trapped indoors, and turning to their music collections for entertainment, we thought we could bring that community together to share their love and enthusiasm for vinyl records. It began as an idea but has turned into something quite special. I cannot believe the number of great people who have offered to contribute.
