Cogworks Expands Cinema Seating Choices with Jaymar and Fortress
Cogworks, a leading supplier to specialist retailers and integrators, has announced it has expanded its already extensive range of bespoke home cinema seating options.
In addition to its own line of Cogworks Design cinema chairs the company launched last year, it is now offering premium-quality chairs from both the highly respected Fortress and Jaymar brands.
Jaymar was established in 1956 by George Reinitz in Canada and today is recognised amongst the leading manufacturers of upholstered furniture worldwide, with a range considered as virtually unlimited.
Fortress was founded in California in the late 1930s, and by the 1970s had showrooms in San Francisco, Texas, Chicago, Florida and was selling its products internationally. Fortress captured the market and the specific needs for high-end home cinema seating and today is featured in some of the world's best and award-winning rooms.
Fortress entered the home theatre arena because there was a void when it came to custom seating. Designers were creating beautiful home theatres, and integrators were designing custom audio and video, and the need for custom seating was apparent. Even with over 30 standard models from which to choose, the need for custom seating is more demanding than ever.
Paul Clarke, General Manager at Cogworks, told StereoNET:
Cogworks listens to the requirements and understands the needs of home cinema designers and installers in Australia. From our specially designed carpet range, our bespoke fabrics, to our extensive portfolio of cinema chairs, we are also pleased to offer the classic brands Jaymar and Fortress Seating via our dealer network.
Fortress and Jaymar are available to order in various options to suit specific applications, while the Cogworks Design range is available now.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
