KRIX RECOGNISES AUSTRALIAN DEALER EXCELLENCE
Set in South Australia's stunning Adelaide Hills, Mount Lofty House was the venue for Krix's annual dealer conference for 2018.
Built in 1852 by prominent statesman Arthur Hardy as his summer house, today it serves as a boutique hotel, function space and overlooks the Botanic Gardens.
The region renowned for its world-class wineries and vineyards, while setting the scene for the business formalities, brings together Krix dealers from across the country to celebrate their annual achievements and to take some time out to enjoy the banter and company of the 'Krix family'.
StereoNET was generously invited along as a guest this year for what was a thoroughly enjoyable two days of insight into the Krix company and culture, awards dinner, and a tour of the regions finest wineries and wine tasting. It's a tough gig, and all in the name of work of course!
From humble beginnings 44 years ago making speakers for friends and family as the Acoustic Foundry in Goodwood, Adelaide, the Krix family have nurtured the company into a respected speaker brand locally, but its rapidly becoming the commercial cinema speaker brand of choice by discerning designers across the globe.
Encouragingly, Krix has enjoyed significant business growth over the past 12 months, and after spending two days with the team at Krix and its loyal dealers, it's not hard to see why.
You'll likely not come across a more helpful, hard-working, and passionate team behind a brand, and a culture which starts at the top with the three Krix brothers and is replicated across the entire company.
With a number of innovative and exciting new products to come, stay tuned for new Krix product announcements soon.
It was a privilege to share in this experience and to gain insight into what makes Australia's most successful loudspeaker manufacturer tick, and we'd like to thank Krix for the opportunity.
StereoNET would also like to congratulate the Krix Dealer Award winners for 2018.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
